Without the chance to purchase a Harmony 880 remote to replace the dead one from my Yamaha and horrified by the proposition of getting off the couch to turn down the volume. I pulled out a screwdriver, took the broken one to bits, cleaned the terminals and voila! new gadget averted. Now I just need to find a new excuse to spend $330 on a new remote.

Gadget averted
Without the chance to purchase a Harmony 880 remote to replace the dead one from my Yamaha and horrified by the proposition of getting off the couch to turn down the volume. No wonder you're accused of dangerous gadgeting! You don't think to maintain and jury rig? You fail at gadget geekery, why do you think I keep spare electronics and tools everywhere.

Now spend that money on computer parts for me ;)
They've got a point Cam. But I think you should spend the money on the new burnout. Especially as I have the xbox atm :) That'll work (Kronk style)
I am seriously considering getting it on the weekend, so I'll be needing that xbox back
