More late night gadget news....

Just as I start toying with the idea that a Plasma or LCD attached to the wall may be a better AV solution to the Projector in my current abode Hitachi sneak up on me with the PJ-TX300 Cine Master projector. (You have to admit, it's very shiny!)

It's well and truly pitched up against my current favourite in the projector space the Panasonic AE-900. The specs are almost straight from the Panasonic copy book with a 10,000:1 contrast ratio, an HDMI socket, 10-bit video processing and three LCD panels and a brightness of 1200 ANSI lumens.

If it were to be something a bit more flat panel and more ambient light friendly, the new Philips 42-inch LCD television is a cracker. The 42PF9831/69 features a WXGA (1366 x 768) screen with 7000:1 contrast and 550 cd/m2 brightness, obviously not the same picture size potential of the Projector solution but a much easier everyday option.. Mind you if you could mount a Sony Bravia KDS-70R2000 monster on the wall it would be getting first pick!

Now that's more than enough gadget porn for one night... I'm off to sleep ready for some more POC fun tomorrow.
