Airtunes.... without the air?
So you don't have a Mac or a Wireless network, but you've got your PC at the other end of the house to your stereo and you want to get your tunes pumping in the lounge room. Well you already have your entire house cabled up with the wiring for the power sockets, why not use that? At least that's the idea that MicroLink have come up with in their dLAN Audio. The system has an adapter that plugs into a standard power outlet with RCA connections for your stereo. Pretty cool really... At the PC end there is an ethernet adapter to connect to your wall power socket. The system can stream up to 192kbps with both digital and analogue audio out. At present there is only a UK plug version (shown in the photo) which is fairly good news for us in Australia as I imagine it would work with just a socket adapater (as just about everything else from the UK) not sure if that translates so well for any market with 110V system...
