Happy Easter!!!!

I know it's a little early but I'm heading home for the long weekend and a week off so I thought I'd get in early as I'm going to try not to use my laptop much... unless of course my new laptop turns up.

Oh in response to Mick's post this week.... here's an email I got this week...
Customer 2 (in Sydney) would like Cameron to assist with the New Project. I appreciate Cameron is a little tied up at the moment with Customer 1 (also in Sydney), however Customer 2 want this work carried out ASAP. Therefore dare I request that we ask Cameron to work on this for say 4 hours per night with Customer 2 until it is finished?
'nuf said (not there was not complaining... I could have said "harden up princess", but didn't)

In other news, my DS may soon be on the mend with the case turning up this week. Also another pile of HD titles apparently turned up so there will be a lot of movie watching in my future I can foresee..

Friday night at the airport.

Tonight I've got another trip to the airport but this time with a difference. Ness is on her way down for a weekend in sydney! We're aiming for a bit of a relax with no home duties on the agenda. It feels like forever since I saw her not helped with Hallmark day this week.

It's been a fairly uneventful week Sydneywise and I don't have a lot to report game wise. Work has been quite hectic but has been good never the less.

In my new found jump into the HD arena there has been some good news with Amazon have a 50% off deal on HD-DVD running in conjunction with a buy two HD DVDs or Blu-ray discs and get a third from the same list for free. This does make jumping on the HD bandwagon a bit easier. HD-DVDs have no region so buying from Amazon is a no brainer, Blu-ray is a bit more complicated. Fortunately the helpful people at the DTV Forum have posted a list of all the region free Blu-ray titles. Of course most of the bigger name titles that I want are region coded but that's the way the cookie crumbles.

A little of (GF) Spain in Sydney

First of all I'm going to make an effort to do a few more posts.... Last night, however, I went out to dinner with a Vendor and they took us to a Spanish Restaurant on Oxford st called Raquels Spanish Kitchen. The food was fantastic, but the most impressive thing was the service. We had a largish table and ordered the Banquet. The thing that really surprised me was they asked if anyone needed specially dietary requirements. Normally in big groups like that I just steer clear of anything that might be risky, after telling them I was both Seafood and Gluten Free they not only brought out special meals just for my needs (included as part of the banquet) they also went to great lengths to ensure that the rest of the food was not placed too close to my food and told me which dish I could and couldn't eat.

It was a level of service for dietary requirements I've never seen before (even in restaurants that are big on Gluten Free menus). To top it off the food was great and it was the best Patatas Bravas I've had since we were at the Taxidermista in Barcelona. The food was quite authentic and there quantities were well and truly more than any of us could eat... We were all completely full even before the Paella came out.

I would definitely head there if you were looking for some nice Spanish cuisine
